All flight activity at LaGuardia was halted Monday as a blizzard-like winter storm continued blanketing New York City in snow.

EAST ELMHURST, QUEENS — LaGuardia Airport suspended all flights Monday due to current weather conditions, as a blizzard-like winter storm continued blanketing New York City in snow.
Mayor Bill de Blasio issued a state of emergency because of the storm, which is expected to bring up to 22 inches of snow and winds as strong as 45 mph.
Travelers should contact their airline to confirm the status of their flights and for details on rebooking their trips.
