LIC Home Invasion Burglars Beat Up Teenager, Steal iPhone: NYPD

Police are looking for three women who beat up a 16-year-old at her Queensbridge Houses apartment, before stealing her iPhone.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Police are looking for four people who entered a teenager’s home at the Queensbridge Houses in Long Island City, three of whom punched and kicked the 16-year-old victim, and then stole her iPhone XR before fleeing the apartment, according to the NYPD.

Around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday March 27, a male acquaintance stopped by the female victim’s Queensbridge Houses apartment on 10th Street, police said.

Shortly after he came over three unidentified women entered the apartment and started punching and kicking the teenage victim. They also took the victim’s Apple iPhone XR, according to police.

Police reported that the trio of attackers fled the building, alongside the male acquaintance, heading towards the 21 Street Queensbridge Station subway stop, at 21st Street and 41st Avenue.

The teenager sustained injuries to her head, which weren’t life threatening, and was treated at Mount Sinai Hospital in Queens, where she’s since been released, police said.

There were no descriptions of the three females, or the male acquaintance, but the NYPD included surveillance video footage from the Queensbridge Houses.

As of Wednesday April 28, a police spokesperson told Patch said that there are no updates on this case.
