Long Island City Restaurant Up For 'I Love Queens' Food Award
Mu Ramen is among three finalists up for the New York City Hospitality Alliance award, which showcases the borough's best eateries.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS -- One Long Island City eatery is competing to be Queens' favorite hotspot in an award ceremony honoring the city's best restaurants.
The New York City Hospitality Alliance will host its annual award ceremony for the city's best restaurants, clubs and bars on April 9. Mu Ramen is among three eateries up for this year's "I Love Queens Award," which celebrates the favorite restaurants in the borough.
Mu Ramen serves up its ramen noodle dishes, along with "treats" like Shishito peppers, clams and Katsu at 12-09 Jackson Ave. The Japanese restaurant has been featured in publications ranging from the New York Times to Eater to Thrillist, where it was highlighted for setting up a makeshift 10-seat ramen counter inside Bricktown Bagels.

Mu Ramen is up for the "I Love Queens" award alongside Don Peppe, an Italian eatery in South Ozone Park, and SriPraPhai, a Thai restaurant in Woodside. The category is one of 17 awards given out at the NYC Hospitality Alliance Award ceremony for the best cuisine, cocktails and culture in the industry.
"The Alliance Awards give us an opportunity to recognize and honor the remarkable people and businesses that contribute so much to our city and make New York City the hospitality capital of the world," said Andrew Rigie, executive director of the NYC Hospitality Alliance.

The ceremony and a celebratory cocktail party will be held at Tao Downtown from 6:30 - 10 p.m. Tickets are available online to restaurant, nightlife, hotel operators and their families for $250.
