Man Robbed Two Queens Gas Stations: NYPD
Police believe the same man is responsible for robbing two Mobil gas stations in two days.
QUEENS, NY -- Cops are looking for a man who they believe stole a combined $1,300 from two gas stations in a two-day robbing spree through Queens.
On Jan. 17 just before 5 a.m., a man walked into a Mobil gas station in Long Island City and demanded the 49-year-old employee hand over the contents of its cash register, police said. The man left the gas station, located at 35-15 Greenpoint Ave., with around $1,000 cash.
Cops believe it was that same guy who held up a Mobil gas station in Jamaica at around the same time the next day. After walking into the gas station at 138-50 Hillside Ave., police said the man demanded a 56-year-old employee give him money from the cash register and made off with about $300 in cash.
