Man Robs LIC Bank After Threatening To Shoot The Teller: Police

Police are still looking for a suspect who robbed a Long Island City bank on Thursday May 6, after threatening to shoot a bank employee.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS —As of Monday May 10, police are still looking for a man who robbed a Long Island City Citibank midday on Thursday May 6.

The man, who walked into the Citibank at 5 Court Square shortly after noon, approached the teller, and quickly passed a note demanding money, according to police. The robber also threatened to shoot the employee by simulating a firearm with his hands, police said.

The teller passed the robber $1,115 and the man fled the bank on Jackson Avenue, heading west.

After the robbery, the police obtained a surveillance photo of the robber from the bank.
