Man Shoots At Ex-Girlfriend In Queens Fight, Hits Passerby: NYPD

The 22-year-old allegedly opened fire on his ex-girlfriend during the subway station spat but instead shot a nearby woman in the stomach.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS -- A 22-year-old man who fired a gun at his ex-girlfriend but instead shot a passerby in Queens has been arrested, police said.

Snooze Brown, of Middletown, was arrested days after firing a gun at his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend during a heated dispute in Long Island City on Jan. 26 just before 7 a.m., cops said Tuesday night.

The bullet missed Brown's ex and instead pierced the stomach of a 28-year-old woman leaving a nearby subway station at 41st Avenue and 10th Street, an NYPD spokesman said.

Medics rushed the woman to Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition.

Police arrested Brown in Inwood, Long Island, and charged him with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a firearm.
