Man Shot In Front Seat Of Car In Long Island City, Says NYPD
Police said that the man had been sitting in the front passenger seat of a vehicle shortly after midnight when he was shot in the chest.
LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A man was shot in the front seat of a car early Monday morning in Long Island City, according to police.
Several minutes after midnight on Monday May 10, cops went to Vernon Boulevard and 41st Avenue, where they were told a man had been shot.
When they arrived at the intersection, they found a 33-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the chest. EMS transported him to Cornell Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

After a preliminary investigation, police reported that the man was sitting in the front passenger seat of a stopped vehicle around the corner at 12th Street and 40th Avenue when he was shot by two unknown individuals.
As of Monday morning the investigation is still ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
