Man Stabbed In Back Repeatedly In Sunnyside: NYPD

The 25-year-old was stabbed four times with an unknown "cutting instrument," police say.

SUNNYSIDE, QUEENS -- Police are searching for the perp who stabbed a 25-year-old man repeatedly in broad daylight on a Sunnyside street corner.

The man was standing at the corner of 47 Street and 48 Avenue at around 7:30 a.m. on May 6 when another man approached him with an unknown "cutting instrument" in hand, cops said.

The attacker stabbed the man four times with the sharp object before fleeing the scene, police said. A motive for the attack remains unclear.

The man drove himself to Elmhurst General Hospital, where he was treated for puncture wounds to his back. He is now in stable condition, authorities said.

The NYPD released photos early Wednesday morning of the suspected attacker, who cops described as a 25-to-30-year-old man.
