Man Struck, Cut In Face On N Train In Astoria: NYPD
Police are searching for the suspect who battered a 59-year-old man's face in the subway argument gone awry.

ASTORIA, QUEENS -- A 59-year-old man ended his subway ride to Manhattan with a battered face after getting into an argument that turned ugly on an N train in Queens, police say.
Cops are looking for the suspect who allegedly punched the man in his face and slashed his forehead with an unknown weapon on Jan. 4 in the verbal dispute turned assault on the train in Astoria.
The argument began when the two boarded a southbound N train at the Ditmars Boulevard Subway station at around 10:50 p.m., police said. The fight exploded during the train ride when the suspect struck the man in the head. He then pulled out an unknown object and used it as a weapon to slice the man's forehead before hopping off the train as it pulled into the Astoria Boulevard subway station, according to the NYPD.

Medics took the man to Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan for cuts and swelling to his face from the assault.
Police described the suspect as a man in his late 20s standing at around 5'7" an weighing about 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green jacket and T-shirt and carrying a military-style backpack.
