Man Wanted For Groping Woman After Following Her In Astoria: NYPD

The man followed the woman two blocks before grabbing her from behind and groping her butt, police said.

ASTORIA, QUEENS -- Police are searching for a perv who groped a woman after following her for two blocks in Astoria.

The 28-year-old woman was walking along Astoria Boulevard at about 1 a.m. on Friday when she noticed the man start to follow her near 18th Street, authorities said.

After following the woman past 12th Street, the man grabbed her from behind and turned her to face him before groping her butt underneath her skirt, police said.

When the woman screamed, he bolted in an unknown direction.

Cops described the suspect as a man in his early thirties with black hair and a slim build, standing at about 5-foot-7 and weighing roughly 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white HOLLISTER T-shirt, grey shorts and red sneakers.
