The cheese shop will offer a rotating selection of pre-cut cheeses — including from Murray's own line of "Cavemaster Reserve" cheeses — and more than 400 specialty items, such as charcuterie, fresh baguettes, chocolates and prepared foods, according to a news release.

The restaurant next door will feature a cheese-focused menu by Murray's Chef de Cuisine Clare Malfitano, who trained in pastry arts in Florence, Italy, and has worked at acclaimed New York City restaurants such as The Modern and Gramercy Tavern.

Murray's, founded in 1940 by Murray Greenberg, has two other locations: its flagship on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village and an outpost at Grand Central Market.
