NYC Burger Joint Listed Among Best In America
Thrillist ranked this Queens eatery among "The 31 Best Burger Joints In America," and it was the only one in New York City to make the cut.

ASTORIA, QUEENS -- The East Coast may never have In-N-Out (*sigh*), but one food critic dared to say we may just have something better, and it's right here in New York City.
The burger joint in question is Queens' own Petey's Burger , and it was the only NYC eatery to make the cut for Thrillist's "31 Best Burger Joints In America."
Petey's Burger, which has locations in Astoria and Long Island City, is ranked on the list alongside burgers across the country handpicked by Thrillist national burger critic Kevin Alexander.

The Queens burger joint serves up a menu of West Coast-style burgers and fries that Thrillist senior writer Wil Fulton called "even better" than those of the West Coast's actual famed burger chain, In-N-Out.
"Yeah, I said it...Oh, and their fries are WAY better, too," Fulton said in his review.

Fulton had high praise for Petey's, calling it a "low-key, classic burger joint that will remind all Californians of home" and lauding the "thin, juicy, double-stacked patties, Russian dressing, thick slices of American cheese (and) sharp onions" that pack its Cali-style burgers.
This isn't the first time Petey's mouthwatering burgers have appeared on Thrillist. Readers voted the burger joint No. 1 in a March Madness-style bracket competition for NYC's best burger in 2015, and the site featured its triple cheese burger this March on "New York City's Best Burgers: The Definitive Guide."
And, like In-N-Out, a burger from Petey's won't break the bank. Prices on the restaurant's online menu range from $4.75 for a classic burger to $8.50 for a triple-cheese special. Combos with fries and a drink start at $9.75.
Petey's is open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 30-17 30 Ave. in Astoria and 46-46 Vernon Blvd. in Long Island City.
