Gunman Opens Fire Into Queens Apartment, NYPD Says

JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — A gunman was captured on video firing at an occupied Queens apartment, with one bullet piercing a third floor window and becoming lodged into the ceiling, police said.

The man was seen shooting at the apartment building near 91st St. and 35th Ave. in Jackson Heights early Sunday. Police said two rounds were fired but nobody was hurt.

The man, dressed in a red and black jacket and white mask, was captured by surveillance cameras entering the building's courtyard at 3:50 a.m. before firing the gun. One bullet hit the outside of the building and the other shattered the window. Three people were inside the apartment, police said.
