Person Hit By A Train At 30th Ave Station In Astoria: Officials
A person was hit at the N and W train station late Friday morning, halting W service and causing delays to N, Q, R trains, the MTA said.

ASTORIA, QUEENS -- A person was hit by a train at an Astoria subway station late Friday morning, officials said.
The straphanger was struck at the N and W train station on 30th Ave and 31st Street just after 11:30 a.m., MTA and fire officials said.
An FDNY spokesman confirmed emergency responders were at the scene but had no further information.

The MTA warned commuters to expect "considerate delays and limited service" on the N, Q and R lines after the incident shut down all W train service and N train service between 57 St-7 Av and Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. stations.

Riders are urged to take Q69 or Q102 local buses, which make nearby station stops, and station agents will be handing out courtesy passes for continuing bus or subway service, an MTA spokesperson.

There is no W train service. There is no N train service between 57 St-7 Av and Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. These service changes are because a person was struck by a train at 30 Av.
