ASTORIA, QUEENS — A person who punched an elderly woman in the chest in Astoria nearly two weeks ago is still being sought by police, the NYPD said on Tuesday.

At around 9:41 p.m. on Friday May 21, a person walked up to a 65-year-old woman standing near 32nd Street and 30th Avenue, by the 30th Avenue subway station, and punched her in the chest.

The woman, who was hurt by the attack, was transported by EMS to Astoria General Hospital and treated for pain and bruising.

According to the police, the person who punched the woman was wearing a black leather jacket with leather studs.

As of Tuesday there have been no arrests in connection to this case, and the investigation remains ongoing, police told Patch.
