Queens Night Market Hosts Free Small Business Seminar Series

The Queens Night Market's free, virtual seminar series is meant to help aspiring entrepreneurs start successful businesses.

QUEENS, NY — The Queens Night Market is bringing back its series of free small business seminars to help aspiring entrepreneurs get their ideas off the ground.

The virtual seminar series, which kicks off its sixth year on Feb. 23, will cover topics such as business plans, branding and marketing, operational efficiency, social media and technology and obtaining permits, according to a news release.

The seminars will also feature guest speakers, expert panels and opportunities for networking and Q&A.

The Queens Night Market is presenting the three-part seminar series in partnership with the NYC Department of Small Business Services, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards and the Queens Economic Development Corporation.

More than 300 businesses have made their operational debuts at the Queens Night Market, an annual event at the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows Corona Park that dates back to 2015.

“The pandemic has not only been devastating for small businesses and entrepreneurs trying to make ends meet, but I think it will have a chilling effect on entrepreneurship for years to come,” Queens Night Market founder John Wang said in a statement. “We hope that these seminars will encourage at least a few aspiring entrepreneurs to step into the decimated small business economy that will ultimately fuel New York’s recovery.”
