SEE IT: Man Slashed, Robbed On Astoria Street In NYPD Video
A dispute about an Astoria deli's hours of operation resulted in a fight in which a 60-year-old man was slashed and robbed, police say.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — A 60-year-old man was attacked and slashed with a knife outside of an Astoria deli last month, police said.
Early in the morning on Wednesday May 19, around 4:00 a.m., the 60-year-old entered the Astoria deli located at 38-02 31st Street, which prompted a verbal fight with another man, who was standing outside, about whether or not the shop was open.
Police said that the argument escalated, and the assailant pulled out a knife and began to slash the victim in the face and arm, as the older man tried to defend himself with a stick. During the fight the attacker also stole the victim's slippers off of his feet.

The attacker — who cops described as about 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a slim build and facial hair — fled the area after the fight, and still hasn't been identified or caught nearly a month later, according to the NYPD.
