SEE IT: Person Breaks Into Car In LIC, Steals $2K Worth Of Items

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Police are still looking for a person who broke into a car in Long Island City and stole thousands of dollars worth of items last month.
Early in the evening on Monday, May 24, around 5:00 p.m., a person was walking down 41st Avenue between 21st and 22nd Street — near 21-07 41st Avenue — in Long Island City when they stopped in front of someone else's car, according to the NYPD.
The police reported that the robber then broke into the car by forcing open the driver's side front door lock, and stole $2,200 worth of items once inside the vehicle.

Cops did not provide a description of the person who broke into the car, but they included surveillance footage that shows the robber in action.
As of June 27 no arrests had been made, and the police said that the incident was still under investigation.
