Vaughn College Offering 5 Full Scholarships To Incoming Freshmen
Scholarship recipients will get paid summer internships with the Port Authority and will qualify for a job with the agency after graduating.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology is offering full, four-year scholarships to five incoming freshmen this fall, thanks to a partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Scholarship recipients will receive paid summer internships with the Port Authority, and they will also qualify for a job with the agency after graduating.
Students must be enrolled full-time and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for the scholarship.

Preference will be given to applicants living in the zip codes 11369, 11370 and 11105 in East Elmhurst and Astoria. Secondary preference will be given to applicants in the zip codes 11368, 11102 and 11103.
Vaughn College, which is in East Elmhurst nearby LaGuardia Airport, offers degrees and certificates in a variety of engineering and technology, management and aviation fields, according to its website.
