What Tax Season Means For Seniors

For me, this time around, it went on for several days this week. In fact, one day, I received call after call.

It works this way. If you are collecting Social Security, you will get calls from from someone claiming to be from Social Security because they need to verify your info and money received for that year.

These are often robot calls. Oh, they can fool you very easily because they sound quite human.

This year it was easy for me because the recorded message sounded less human than usual and there were way too many of them. The same message.

Here's the deal. Social Security never calls us. They do everything by mail. The government shutdown this time around? Nope. Doesn't matter.

When in doubt, call your local Social Security office. While your at it, report the calls your getting. Your welcome and stay safe.
