5 Injured, 1 Seriously, After 2-Car Crash In Brightwaters
A 22-year-old passenger was seriously injured after the crash on Sunday evening.
BRIGHTWATERS, NY — Five people were injured, one seriously, after a two-car crash in Brightwaters Sunday evening, according to Suffolk Police. Anthony Nunns, 21, of West Babylon was driving a 2006 Hyundai sedan westbound on Montauk Highway, near South Bay Avenue, when the car veered into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound 2015 Dodge Ram at 6:15 p.m., police said.
A front seat passenger in the Hyundai, 22-year-old Nicolina Papachristadoulou, of Bethpage, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries.
Nunns and a 21-year-old man who was sitting in the backseat were transported to the same hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge, 25-year-old Paul Bryant, of East Islip, and a 24-year-old woman sitting in the front seat were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries.
