This presentation will touch upon the great opportunities that your patrons have to get outdoors to see the natural beauty of Long Island up close & learn how & why the Island is such a good place to walk. I have been photographing natural Long Island for over 30 years & I am a group leader of hikes as well as a naturalist. There has never been a better time to get outdoors which happens to be the safest place in this era of Covid 19.

Lee McAllister is a naturalist, photographer and the author of two books on hiking. The first, Hiking The Catskills sold 15,000 copies and is currently out of print. As a member of several hiking clubs he has led guided hikes in those mountains as well as his native Long Island. Lee has spent several years photographing the natural beauty that can be experienced by walkers on Long Island. His second book Hiking Long Island is currently out in its fourth edition. The book has over 100 photographs with maps and important details pertaining to hiking.
