Bay Shore Drunken Driver Seriously Injured In Wrong-Way Crash: PD
The 24-year-old was charged with a DWI after the head-on crash in Hauppauge Sunday night, police said.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — A Bay Shore man crashed while driving drunk the wrong way on Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.
Marcus Cabrera, 24, was driving 2009 Audi A4 eastbound in the westbound lanes of Veterans Memorial Highway near Lincoln Boulevard when he crashed head-on into a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, police said.
Cabrera was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.

The 24-year-old man driving the Mitsubishi and his three passengers were brought to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
Cabrera was charged with driving while intoxicated. He is scheduled to be arraigned at a later date.
