Bay Shore School Budget Approved, 2 Trustees Elected

The budget includes a 1.8 percent increase in the school tax levy.

BAY SHORE, NY — Residents in the Bay Shore School District have approved a 2021-21 school budget by a margin of 1,154 to 438.

The $171 million budget is a 4.90 percent increase over the current year and includes a 1.8 percent increase in the school tax levy, within the state's tax cap.

Incumbent Susan Gargan and Jennifer Brownyard both won seats on the school board.
