Dog owners beware of VMCLI of West Islip Veterinary Center

I would advise anyone that has animals to stay away from this place they are heartless and they don't care about your animals , all they care about is getting their money and having you sign credit card receipts and would strongly advise that if anyone has animals to stay away from this place they are heartless and they don't care about your animals , all they care about is getting their money and having you sign credit card receipts one after another after another, two of my dogs died there one six years old and the other one 10 years old, I brought my 10-year-old there as an emergency January 9 th 2018, as she passed out at my home and I honestly didn't want to bring her there ever again due to my last horrible experience but it was the closest place to bring her because I was afraid to drive any further in case it happened again. So they diagnosed her with fluid surrounding her heart in which they removed the fluid and my dog was fine, she was acting normal and just wanted to go home but all they wanted was to keep making money so they suggested that they keep her there to monitor her heart overnight until the cardiologist looked at her the next morning and I asked why couldn't the cardiologist come that evening and look at her and they declined and said he doesn't come in the evening he will be here in the morning they refused to call him in even as an emergency. I refused to leave and was planning on staying the night and they told me that I absolutely could not do that and I said I was not gonna leave again and they said they would police escort me out of there if I didn’t leave and that I had to go home, so they let me see her before I went home and she seemed completely fine as I stated earlier, so I decided to trust them , big mistake and wait for the cardiologist to do an echo cardio gram on her in the morning in which he did and he found nothing wrong with her heart . They mentioned the night prior that they did a blood test on her and that all her organs looked good , after the cardiologist was done with his testing 20 minutes later they come out and they say that she has several masses on her spleen that they saw when they took an x-ray, and that I should put her to sleep because they were probably cancerous, they never even offered me to do a biopsy on her to see if they were cancerous masses , I asked to see the copies of the x-rays they took and the sonogram that they did on her and they refused to show me and they said to me that I wouldn't know what I was looking at anyway! SO RUDE ! I was under extreme distress hysterically crying in disbelief that my girl of 10 years had to be put to sleep when she seemed completely fine and just wanted to go home, I even have pictures of her right before and she looked completely healthy in the pictures. I was in a room with my baby on the floor hysterical and crying and my mom was in the room as well crying her eyes out in disbelief also , while I was on the floor hugging my dog they come in and shove a piece of paper in front of me to sign on the floor not even on a clipboard just a pen and a bill to sign so they can put more money on my credit card so unprofessional and I felt forced to sign it while I was in complete distress , I couldn't even think straight because I had a migraine so bad from crying for the past two days but all they cared about was getting their money, they basically made me feel guilty and told me it would be inhumane to keep her alive Meanwhile my girl was not suffering she was fine after the fluid was removed from her heart, what kind of people run a business like this ? They all have no hearts and they are made of ice , they don't care about any of the animals that come into their place of Business as they call it. I learned a very hard lesson bringing my baby girl back to them , she was my life , she was my world , she was everything and all that I had , I wish I would’ve never brought her back to that horrific place , thinking that they would help her , now she is gone and my world will never be the same again , a big piece of my heart went to heaven that day with her and I would never advise anyone that has animals to ever bring them to VMCLI , I cannot even tell you how many people I have spoken to whose dogs or cats have died in the hands of these people and it cost them thousands and thousands to walk out without their animals , so please heed my advice stay away from these people!!!!!! I would never want anyone to go through what I went through not only once but twice , this time was 100 times worse for me !
