Drugs, Guns, Over $173K In Cash Found At Daycare During Bust: PD
Four people were arrested after a drug bust at a home that doubles as a daycare in Bay Shore as well as a second home, police said.
BAY SHORE, NY — Four people were arrested on Saturday after a drug bust at a Bay Shore home that doubles as a daycare and a second home in Brentwood, according to Suffolk police.
In response to information received from the community, officers launched an investigation at the Channel Daycare on Delaware Avenue which found that narcotics were being dealt out of the home, police said.
A search warrant was executed at the daycare at 5:30 a.m. during which detectives seized two loaded 9mm handguns with extended magazines, ammunition, 600 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of fentanyl, packaging materials consistent with narcotic drug sales, and more than $173,000, police said.

The daycare owner and resident of the home, 50-year-old Magodeiry Landron, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
Her son, 34-year-old Rafael Landron, also a resident of the home, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

A child related to both Landrons was in the house at the time the warrant was executed and was released into the custody of a family member.
A short time later, detectives executed a second search warrant at the home of Magodeiry's other son, 29-year-old Anthony Dominguez, on Arbell Drive in Brentwood, where they seized an additional $66,000, a 9 mm Glock with two extended magazines and ammunition, police said.
Dominguez was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
His girlfriend, 30-year-old Crystal Rivera, a resident of the home, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
Two children, who live in the home, were released into the custody of family.
The Suffolk County Police Emergency Service and Canine Sections were on scene during the execution of both warrants. The New York State Office of Children and Family Services and Suffolk County Child Protective Services were both notified.
Landron and Rivera were held overnight at the Fourth Precinct. Rafael and Dominguez were overnight at the Third Precinct.
All four are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
