Duo Make Off With Stormtrooper Statue From Bay Shore Store

The two stole the decoration from the front of a local business that opened just a few months ago.

BAY SHORE, NY — Two people — perhaps from the Dark Side — stole a model Stormtrooper in front of a Bay Shore store last week.

The theft was reported on April 1 at about 3 p.m. from the Blast From The Past store on 125 W Main Street.

Surveillance video shows the duo walking away with the 3-foot tall statue.

The store opened less than a year ago, selling vintage video games, toys, and comics.

The Stormtrooper, which was not even for sale but rather a decoration outside the store, is worth between $300 and $400, store owner Richard McWilliams told the New York Post.
