Republican Philip Boyle has been re-elected to the State Senate.
Boyle defeated Democrat John Alberts in race for the 4th District seat, according to unofficial results from the Suffolk Board of Elections.
With almost all districts reporting, Boyle leads by a margin of 72,309-42,348.
