Funeral Services For Beloved Bay Shore Teacher Scheduled
The 61-year-old died in a tragic house fire on Friday. A visitation and funeral mass have been scheduled for this week.

EAST ISLIP, NY — Funeral services for a beloved Bay Shore elementary school teacher who was killed in a tragic East Islip house fire last week, have been scheduled.
Laurie Addeo, 61, died after a fire broke out at her home on Washington Avenue on Friday.
Her husband, his mother, and three tenants, a woman, a man and their 10-year-old son, all escaped the home unharmed.

A visitation is set for Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home on 200 East Main Street in East Islip.

A funeral service has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3 starting at 9:45 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church on 20 Harrison Avenue in East Islip.
She will be buried at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
According to her obituary on the Chapey & Sons funeral home website, Addeo is survived by husband Daniel, her son Michael, her parents Tom and Marie Provenzano, her granddaughter Camryn as well as countless loved ones and dear friends.
"Beloved by her family and the Bay Shore Schools community, Laurie gave her heart to her family her entire life and to the children of Bay Shore for 29 years," the obituary reads. "Many knew her love and kind heartedness and have countless fond memories to share."
A fund has been set up c/o the Mary G Clarkson Elementary PFA to provide supplies for the needs of the kids she dedicated her life to.
