BAY SHORE, NY - A local family is seeking help to find their dog who went missing this past weekend.

The dog, Bennie, went missing Sunday, April 21 about 9 a.m. while out on a walk. He was last seen on Aberdeen Road. His leash should still be attached.

Stacie Kane, the sister of Bennie's owner, says she thinks he's hiding in someone's yard in the West Bay Shore area, most likely underneath heavy brush or a deck.

"He is very anxious and if he is scared he will stay put and not move," she said. "If you live in the area please take a look in your yard - he’s the sweetest thing, but will be nervous."
