Lowe's Plans To Hire 50K Employees This Spring
The home improvement chain says 1,750 positions need to be filled in the metro New York area.

LONG ISLAND, NY — This spring has seen an increase in job hirings nationally, and one giant chain has announced a goal of hiring 50,000 employees this spring and summer.
Lowe's announced Thursday that it will fill the full and part-time positions as soon as next week.
A representative for Lowe's told Patch that 1,750 associates in the metropolitan New York area will be hired this spring.

CBS News reported that the home improvement retail giant is adding cashier, stocking, drivers and managers.
The U.S. Labor Department reported that employers added almost a million new jobs nationwide in March, a sign of a post-pandemic hiring surge. According to the latest labor statistics, 9.7 million Americans are still unemployed.
