New Donut Shop Hosts Grand Opening In Bay Shore, Sells 5K Donuts

The long-awaited new donut shop officially opened to eager customers this past weekend.

BAY SHORE, NY — The new donut shop opened up to much fanfare in Bay Shore this past weekend. The North Fork Doughnut Company hosted the grand opening for its second location on 1 East Main Street on Saturday.

The eatery opened its doors at 6 a.m. to the customers who began lining up since 5:30 a.m. The store closed at noon once they were completely sold out. A total of 5,000 donuts were sold the first day.

"It was an incredible show of support from the community and we're so grateful for it," the business owners wrote in a statement.

Owners Jimmy Lyons and Kelly Briguccia opened the first shop in Mattituck in 2018, which has quickly become an East End hot spot. The North Fork Doughnut Co. is known for making donuts from scratch fresh every single day.
