Obituary: William Mullaney, Of Bay Shore, Dies At 77

The longtime member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Board passed away on Sunday.

Died: February 24, 2019

Visitation: Friday, March 1 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Raynor and D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.

Service: Saturday, March 2 starting at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's RC Church in Bay Shore.

Obituary: William A. Mullaney, Sr., of Bay Shore and formerly of Sayville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24. He was 77.

Mullaney was a member of the Catholic Heath Services Board of Trustees from 1997 to 2007. He served on Good Samaritan Hospital’s Board from 1984 until 2012 and was its chairman from 1994 to 1996.

He joined the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Board in 2004 and served until his retirement in December 2017. Through the years, he co-chaired the annual Good Samaritan Ball and served on several committees, including Executive, Finance, Planning, Community Relations, Compliance, and Performance Improvement.

Mullaney was predeceased in life by his brothers Joseph and Brian.

He is survived by his wife, Mary as well as his children; William, Jr, Colleen Rotherham (Jack), Kevin (Tracy) and Michael (Nicole).

In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren; Shannon, Kayleigh, Rylie, Grace, Katie, Jack, Ian, Lukas, Maggie, Tyler and Allison and well as his brother of Ret. Brig. Gen. David.

Interment will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Sayville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Bill’s memory to Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, 1000 Montauk Highway, West Islip, NY 11795, are appreciated. Please include in memo, “For Cardiac Care.”
