Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Bay Shore: Police
The incident was reported on Wednesday night.
BAY SHORE, NY —A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in Bay Shore on Wednesday night, according to Suffolk County Police. A 19-year-old West Islip man was driving a 2012 Mazda CX9 westbound on Union Boulevard, west of Brentwood Road, when the car struck a man crossing the street from the south side at 9:31 p.m., police said.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified by police, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead. The driver was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information is asked to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
