Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Long Island

Severe thunderstorms may impact the Wednesday evening commute on Long Island. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9 p.m.

Any storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, large hail and isolated flash flooding, the National Weather Service said. The threat for severe storms is highest in Nassau County.
