Stop And Shop, Target, Walmart: Which Grocers Are Open Labor Day?
Check out which grocery stores will be open on Labor Day 2019.
LONG ISLAND, NY - If you realized last minute you forgot something for your Labor Day cookout this Monday — worry not.
Several Long Island grocery stores will be open for at least part of the holiday on Monday, Sept. 2, while others will be operating on a regular schedule.
Patch checked with Stop and Shop, Target, Walmart, Costco and other big retailers to find out which stores will be operating on a holiday schedule Labor Day.

A Stop and Shop spokesperson confirmed that all stores should be open regular hours for the holiday. However, the pharmacy will only be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents can visit StopandShop.com and click on the "Find a store" to check their local supermarket hours.

"Target stores will be operating on Labor Day with our normal store business hours, which vary by store," said a spokesperson for the retailer.
To find a store's hours, use Target.com's "Find a store" feature to select your store and view the store hours for the upcoming week.
"Our stores are open normal hours for Labor Day," said a spokesperson for Walmart.
As for Costco, all stores will be closed on Labor Day.
Walgreens stores will be open regular hours on Labor Day, but most non-24-hour pharmacies will be closed, according to a spokesperson.
BJs Wholesale Club will also be open normal hours on Labor Day. To check the hours for your local club, visit BJs.com/locations.
