Storm Wallops Bay Shore, Many Still Without Power: PHOTOS

A severe thunderstorm rumbled through Long Island Thursday night. Check out some photos of the damage in the article.

BAY SHORE, NY - A severe storm slammed Long Island on Thursday, hitting areas like Bay Shore particularly hard.

The area was hit with a serious thunderstorm along with 60 mph winds, causing downed trees and power outages all across the island.

In Bay Shore, there are still 2,407 residents still without power as of Friday morning, according to the PSEG power outage map. North Bay Shore has 682 residents without power and West Bay Shore has 8. Power is expected to be fully restored by Saturday at 7:15 a.m.
