"We look forward to bringing the Town of Islip-AHRC Suffolk Polar Bear Splash to the Bay Shore Marina for many years to come," she said.
In addition, a local DJ with autism, “Luke the Nuke” will set the tone of inclusion as he plays music for splashers and spectators at the Town of Islip-AHRC Polar Bear Splash.
Luke Reisner, 27, has been DJing professionally for over a year now and has entertained party goers at Sweet 16’s, weddings, graduations and now his first Polar Bear Splash.
When asked if he’d consider going in the Great South Bay Luke replied: "No. The water’s too cold."
