Two Town Councilwomen Place In Northwell Run
Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen and Councilwoman Trish Bergin Weichbrodt both participated in the recent Northwell run.

BAY SHORE, NY - From the Town of Islip: Two Islip Town Councilwomen placed in the Northwell Health Great South Bay Run recently. Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen took Third Place overall in the 13.1 Half Marathon and Councilwoman Trish Bergin Weichbrodt took Sixth Place in her age category.
The 34th Annual Northwell Health Great South Bay Run features three USA Track and Field certified run courses; 13.1 Half Marathon, a 10K Run and a 5K Family Fun Run. Each race begins and ends at the Bay Shore Marina Park with a course that continues through historic Bay Shore downtown, along Brightwaters Lakes, Cascades and Canals. The race finishes with an unobstructed view of Fire Island and the Great South Bay.
A portion of the proceeds and 100 percent of all donations for this event go to Southside Hospital’s Community Outreach and Health and Education Council (COHEC). The COHEC group’s mission is to strengthen partnerships to promote access to the highest quality health care, health literacy and wellness, improving the quality of life in all the communities Southside Hospital serves.
