FIRE ISLAND, NY - The powerful storm that hit Long Island unexpectedly on Sunday made for a rocky ride on one Fire Island Ferry.
On Sunday afternoon, a strong thunderstorm packing strong winds, heavy rain and hail slammed the area.
During the storm, a ferry happened to be passing through, traveling from Fair Harbor in Fire Island to Bay Shore at about 2:30 p.m. A video from the ride was posted by YouTube user Bobbyfila, which showed the heavy rain and rough waters as the ferry was driving through the severe weather.
