3 Injured In East Islip Crash Involving Van

EAST ISLIP, NY — Three people were injured in crash between a van and a car in East Islip Tuesday morning. Suffolk Police responded to the crash on Union Boulevard at 6:24 a.m. One of the vehicles, a Sprinter van, struck a utility pole.

Three people in the vehicles sustained minor injuries. The eastbound side of Union Boulevard was temporarily closed between Third Avenue and Carleton Avenue.

The East Islip and Islip Fire Departments both responded to the scene as well. According to the Islip FD, the three people were transported to Southside Hospital by Islip, East Islip, and Exchange Ambulances.
