East Islip School Board Names New President
Christopher Zachry will serve as the Board of Education's president for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
EAST ISLIP, NY —The East Islip Board of Education has named a new board president for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
Christopher Zachry has previously served as president in 2015-2016 and 2018-2019. Zachry joined the board as a trustee in 2014.
He will replace Jessica Carney who is retiring.

William Carpluk, the 2019-2020 president, will take over as. vice president. The appointments were announced at the July 6 meeting, where new trustees Michael Dorgan and Stephen Ruland officially came on board.
