3rd LI St. Patrick's Day Parade Announces Cancellation: Report
With St. Patrick's Day a month away, local parades have been canceled or will be postponed another day.
EAST ISLIP, NY — St. Patrick's Day will definitely look different amid the coronavirus pandemic this year. March 2020 marked the first case of coronavirus confirmed on Long Island. Last year, nearly all parades in the area were canceled just weeks into the pandemic.
Now a year later, it appears St. Patrick's Day might once again be canceled, or at least pushed back.
With over a month until the holiday returns, Patchogue and Bayport-Blue Point have already postponed their St. Patrick's Day parade.
