CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A suspended Suffolk County District Court judge pleaded guilty on Friday for attempting to steal women's underwear from his neighbor's home last year, according to Suffolk County DA Timothy D. Sini.

He provided a statement to detectives admitting that he had entered the home on multiple past occasions and removed the underwear from an upstairs hamper, the DA said.

He noted that he had intended to steal panties again on the day of his arrest but left when he heard someone in the house, the DA said.

Cicale is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 15 in front of Nassau County District Court Judge David Goodsell. He is expected to be sentenced to five years of probation with sex offender conditions.

"He violated the law, the public’s trust and the victims’ sense of security," Sini said. "Today’s disposition holds him accountable for his actions and serves justice."
