Mama's, Longtime Oakdale Italian Restaurant, Announces Closure

OAKDALE, NY— Mama's Italian Restaurant has been in business for over two decades in Oakdale but the longtime restaurant will be closing. Owners John and Teresa Passafiume announced the closing on Facebook on Friday.

Mama's, at 1352 Montauk Highway, operated for over two decades.

"So many wonderful people have walked through our doors. We’ve weathered snow storms, hurricanes, and now a global pandemic together, and we are grateful for the strength and support you have all shown us. We’ve hosted birthdays, bridal and baby showers, communions, and so many more important family occasions. We’ve watched some of you grow up from kids to having kids of your own. We truly feel we are leaving behind a part of our family. For all those treasured memories, we thank you. They will continue to be a part of who we are as we pursue our next passion," Teresa Passafiume wrote.

There's no word on what business may be going into the location.
