Man Still Missing After Falling Off Boat In Great South Bay: USCG

GREAT SOUTH BAY, NY - The U.S. Coast Guard is still searching for a man who fell off a boat in the Great South Bay on Monday night.

A Coast Guard spokesperson confirmed that a Hispanic man fell off a 37-foot boat near Hecksher State Park in East Islip.

Two women were aboard with him and contacted the Suffolk Police around 11 p.m. after he fell off, who then contacted the Coast Guard.

The women were not injured and transported to Timber Point marina.

The man was not wearing a life jacket.

On Tuesday morning, the Coast Guard sent one small boat from station Fire Island to search for the man and a helicopter from Cape Cod was also involved in the search.
