Police ID Woman Who Died In East Islip House Fire
The devastating fire was reported Friday morning.

EAST ISLIP, NY - A woman died in an East Islip house fire early Friday, Suffolk Police confirmed.
The blaze was reported on Washington Avenue at 2:12 a.m. Six residents were in the home at the time of the fire.
Laurie Addeo, 61, a resident of the home, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Addeo's husband, his mother, and three tenants, a woman, a man and their 10-year-old son, all escaped the residence unharmed.
Following a preliminary investigation, detectives believe the fire to be non-criminal in nature.

Firefighters from six local departments including Islip Terrace, East Islip, Central Islip, Islip, Brentwood and East Brentwood battled the blaze for over an hour and a half, Newsday reports.
