New Coffee Shop Opens In East Islip

EAST ISLIP, NY — East Islip residents were able to check out the grand opening of a new cafe on Main Street on Sunday, March 1st. Milano Bean Cafe held their grand opening on the same day as the East Islip St. Patrick's Day Parade. Owner Tiger Adjoor told Patch that the store's opening went well. Milano Bean Cafe is located at 51 West Main Street.

Susan Murray-Moloney is a friend of the owners and an East Islip resident who said the community welcomed the new business.

"The community has been absolutely fantastic! They have been nothing but kind and so far, only positive feedback has come forward.

I was there for the opening helping out. Kids were playing board games, teens getting [blended drinks] and grown-ups getting their various coffees."

Although Milano Cafe is small, Murray-Moloney thinks part of the appeal is that it's welcoming to local teenagers and adults as a place to go "and hang out, be safe and feel a bit of independence. too."
