"As hard as we tried, we were not able to outlive this pandemic," the owners of the Wild Side Bistro wrote on Facebook.

OAKDALE, NY — An Oakdale restaurant announced it was closing down due to the coronavirus pandemic last week. In a post on Facebook, the owners of the Wild Side Bistro stated the eatery on 1551 Montauk Highway was shutting down after four years in business.
"With a heavy heart and much sadness, the time has come that we must say farewell," owners Raquel Wolf Jadeja and Jay Jadeja wrote in the post. "Wild Side Bistro has always been our labor of love and unfortunately as hard as we tried, we were not able to outlive this pandemic."
The couple stated that their second restaurant, The Onion Tree, remains open in Sea Cliff.
