Siblings Honored At Special Dinner At Friendly's For Charity Work
The 10-year-old and 7-year-old duo were nominated for a special celebration for all the good they have done in their local community.

EAST ISLIP, NY - Two Long Island siblings got a special celebration at an East Islip Friendly's for their dedication to the community. Jacob Saracena, 10, and his sister, Ella Saracena, 7, were nominated by their grandmother Sally Mallery, to be "Deliciously Celebrated."
As a result, the fifth and second-graders got a special dinner on Monday at the restaurant on 50 Montauk Highway. The two were chosen for their work in the community.
"Everyone was great, the children were so happy and very appreciative," Mallery said of the event.

The siblings were honored after bringing food and toys for a local animal shelter; providing hats, gloves and scarves to outreach centers; donating money to food outreach centers; and giving toys to Boots on the Ground for Christmas.
The celebration, which was attended by family and invited guests, including a special menu, festive decorations, a parting gift and more.

"Although Jacob and Ella have never asked for anything, this event showed them and their friends that little acts of kindness are rewarded," Mallery said. "You do it because your heart tells you, that's the best reward ever. But, this topped everything."
